How are we all today? Glad that monday is out of the way. My other half and I just got back from the most enchanted trip to Edinburgh over the weekend. The main purpose of our trip was the Madonna concert but more on that later.. During our visit to the capital city (Our first time..), we couldn't help but marvel at the beautiful architecture with its 4,500 listed buildings. A castle that towers over the city and the weather was great which helps too. Our time there was spent at the Hilton Caledonian which is right in the middle of it all. Across the road from the West Princes Street Gardens and right next to the castle, we were kindly upgraded to a castle view room which was a pleasant surprise. It was our first time at a Hilton and it definitely won't be the last. The room was tastefully appointed to go with the heritage of the building itself. The staff polite as can be and don't even get me started on the breakfast! You have to treat yourself to one of them to believe it. It's that good! They even kept hold of our bags after we checked out as we had time to kill before we headed back.
We spent the first day wandering around the cobblestone paved streets and St Giles Cathedral. Hope you enjoy these pictures from the trip. A huge thank you to the staff at the Hilton Caledonian for making our trip special. We cannot wait to go back!
