The GoodHood Store
I've required prescription glasses for quiet some time now but I refused to use any run of the mill frame for it. I've been trying rather un-successfully to get hold of the people at retrosuperfuture for quiet some time now and I almost gave up hope when I had to write about the brilliant Carhartt Exhibition at The Goodhood Store in London. Hmm.. I thought to myself I must have a wander on their website and there they were. The frames that I spent months trying to get hold off right under my eyes. I was so impressed by the speedy delivery and customer service which I have to admit is rather fleeting in stores these days that I decided to pop in the next time I was in London.
It took a few minutes to find the store via my phone but boy was it worth it. The menswear floor is downstairs and its like a treasure trove. You will find brands such as Norse Projects, Junya Watanabe, Head Porter, Quoddy, Perks & Mini and Wood Wood to name a few. From sunglasses to bags, they've got it all covered. I was also rather intrigued but a stuffed/fake rattlesnake in a glass box which looked rather menacing. You've got to check out The Goodhood Store the next time you are in London. They've also got a gallery across the road from the store where the Carhartt Exhibition was held and is often hosting events all year round. You can also check out their website at goodhoodstore.com. I'd like to thank them for letting me take some pictures of their fantastic store. I will definitely be going back there on my next trip. Scroll down below the break for some great hi-res images of the store.
