Takashi Murakami at the Gagosian Gallery London: Recap
I had a couple of hours to kill between meetings in London yesterday and was thinking about what I could have done to get out of the heat and away from the Tube and suddenly like a light bulb flicking on above my head I realised that I had not yet had the chance to check out Takashi Murakami's exhibition at the Gagosian Gallery. So I rushed myself to Euston which is the nearest tube station and headed over. If you guys haven't been to the Gagosian before you really should get yourselves down there. The space was marvellous showcasing Murakami's work at its best. Being a massive fan it was great to see his work for the first time in person. The pieces on display included 3m girl, Nurse Ko2 and Big Box & PKo2 to name a few. There was also a great selection of paintings on display each more breathtaking than the other. Unfortunately you could not take any pictures but the kind people at the gallery emailed me some pictures today. Murakami continues to raise the bar for modern art. I cannot wait to see what he comes up with next. Scroll down below for more pictures from the exhibition.
Ps.. You even get a little PK02 that you can put together., Scroll down to the very bottom to see the finished product! I felt like I was in art class at school again!
